Why Should You Uninstall Toolbars?
Toolbars do more damage than they do good. Here’s a list of what toolbars can do.
- Track and monitor all your browsing (They know EVERY website you go to).
- Redirect you to another home page and change your “new tab” settings.
- Install adware and spyware on your computer.
- Displays annoying adverting and notification pop-ups.
- Slows down web browsing and computer performance.
- Can access even your computer data and information.
- Is almost impossible to manually uninstall some toolbars.
Toolbars are an easy way for businesses to learn your browsing habits so they can better advertise to you. If that’s not bad enough, they always know where and what you do online. This includes all your shopping, chatting, emailing.. everything. Therefore, if you’re concerned about your online and personal privacy, you should consider permanently deleting them now.
Another reason to get rid of toolbars is because they can cause computer problems. Most of them will drastically reduce your browser speed. Some install adware and spyware on your computer which leads to annoying notification ads promoting products. These also can cause your computer’s performance to decrease. It can cause your computer to perform slow resulting in a very frustrating experience as well as compromise your privacy and reveal detailed information about you.
How To Uninstall Toolbars
There are 2 ways to uninstall or remove browser toolbars. The first is with software like Easy Toolbar Remover that does the work automatically. The benefit of this is that you don’t have to go in to every toolbar on Google Chrome, FireFox and Internet Explorer to manually uninstall them, but instead with Easy Toolbar Remover you just select them from a list and it will remove them for you.
It is highly recommended that you also have a tool like SpyHunter installed which will delete and prevent spyware and adware on your computer. You can download a free trial here which will scan your computer and show you if you have any spyware or adware on your computer. If you don’t use a product like this, then chances are, you will be surprised to see how infested your PC is with this junk. You need to get rid of it as soon as you can.
The second way to delete a toolbar is to manually go into your browser settings and disable the extension or plugin then manually delete the files associated with the toolbar. You can see how to do this on the How To Uninstall Toolbars page. In some cases, this can be practically impossible even for an experienced IT guy. Many of these files are hidden away secretly on your computer so you can’t find them therefore your problems may continue until they are completely removed.
What is the Best Toolbar Remover?
Everyone is going to have their own opinion about this, but I am going to give you MY suggestion. If you’re not satisfied with it, you can find another to use 🙂
Here’s my recommendation. Download Easy Toolbar Remover here (free version). Once installed, which only takes a few seconds, it will show you all the toolbars you have installed on Google Chrome, FireFox and Internet Explorer. It will also show you if any of those toolbars came with it’s own uninstall software which make life much easier.
If it detects your toolbars, you can simply select them, then choose to uninstall. You will have to register this software to use it to uninstall the toolbars ($19.95).
Next, if you don’t have any kind of spyware or adware software on your computer, then you absolutely need to get some. I recommend SpyHunter. It is one of the most downloaded and advanced spyware tools on the market and is constantly up to date. Run this to clean out all the extra files left behind from your toolbars.
